Diann grew up in Michigan, graduating from Michigan State University with a degree in accounting. One of her passions has been building up the church in any way possible. She studied at Redeemer Seminary and has held several staff positions at Lake Highlands Church. She is honored to serve as the Council for Life Beneficiary Chair-Elect this year, helping vet and choose our Beneficiaries. Being an Advocate For Life is part of her calling as a follower of Christ and is especially personal to her as a woman who has experienced abortion.
Diann is married to Phil and together they have three married children and four beautiful granddaughters.
Jennifer Shelton’s connection with life issues started with her birth to her 14 year old biological mother. Jennifer was adopted by a Christian family and grew up in Texarkana, TX. She then graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a major in Biblical Studies and Business. Jennifer knew she had a heart for women but had no idea the Lord would use her story to begin a journey of advocating for life that has spanned over 18 years. 2 months after graduating college, Jennifer had an interview with Real Options to become their Education Director. She spoke to thousands of young people in that role and then started a college outreach at Real Options. Then 7 years ago, the Real Options board asked Jennifer to step into the Executive Director position. Since then Jennifer’s passion for life and reaching the most vulnerable in our community has only increased and she since becoming director she has seen over 1,000 babies saved from abortion and over 400 people come to know Christ as their Savior!
