Celebrating Life Luncheon 2022 SOLD OUT
The 21st annual Council for Life Celebrating Life Luncheon is sold out. Please add your name to the waitlist to attend here. God’s infinite faithfulness and blessing continue to amaze us as we commit — for the first time — to funding over $1 million to our record 28 beneficiaries who work joyfully to support LIFE!
We are ecstatic to announce that our speaker is actor Jim Caviezel who portrayed Jesus in The Passion of the Christ! Mr. Caviezel both affirms life with his words and lives out his beliefs of cherishing every life.
Since 2001, Council for Life has raised more than $10 million to fund 60 agencies in the Dallas/Fort Worth area doing life-saving work related to the complex issues that surround unplanned pregnancies. These agencies serve the most vulnerable in our community with compassionate care through Pregnancy Resource Centers, Abortion Pill Reversal, Adoption and Foster Care, Maternity Homes, Post-Abortion Support, Parenting and Life Skills Education, Youth and College Mentoring, Sexual Risk Avoidance and Targeted Media Outreach.
We are thrilled to honor Norma Hunt and Tavia and Clark Hunt as this year’s Luncheon Honorary Co-Chairs. We are immensely grateful to them for their faithful, generous support of Council for Life and unwavering, bold stand for Life.
The Hunt family is known for faith, family, and football, and they have been members and leaders of Council for Life for decades. Norma Hunt served as Council for Life’s Honorary Chair in 2004 and has long served on CFL’s Advisory Board. She is the wife of the late sports pioneer Lamar Hunt – founder of the American Football League and the Kansas City Chiefs – and she is often referred to as the First Lady of Football. She has attended every Super Bowl.
Tavia and Clark Hunt continue their family’s legacy in sports and in philanthropy. Tavia has served on the Council for Life Board and has served as the Luncheon Chair as well as co-chaired the Men’s Breakfast with Clark. They are involved in a number of other Christ-centered initiatives, including Focus on the Family, Athletes in Action, and Kids Across America.
Billye Turner and Kelli Karlow — philanthropic leaders in our community dedicated to the cause of Life — are our outstanding Luncheon Co-Chairs.

Jim Caviezel grew up on the countryside in Mount Vernon, Washington. He was raised in a devout spiritual Catholic family as one of five siblings. The Caviezels were a family of athletes, so Jim’s fervor became sports. He developed a passion for basketball as a hobby which in turn became a lifestyle for him. His coach described him as the “hardest worker he had seen in 30 years.” However, a foot injury curtailed his basketball endeavors and during his recovery, he stumbled upon acting. Jim Caviezel is best known for his roles as Jesus in The Passion of the Christ and John Reese in the hit TV series Person of Interest. Jim also has an upcoming film release, Sound of Freedom, that is the true-life story of Tim Ballard, a former US government agent who quits his job to devote his life to rescuing children from global sex traffickers.
Jim is married to Kerri, a high school English teacher by trade. They believe adoption is a blessing from God and have, themselves, adopted three children from China, two of whom, have health issues. The couple are outspoken advocates for the unborn and their right to life. Jim will be sharing his heart and passion for the Sanctity of Life in a rare and powerful speaking engagement as he joins us as our Keynote speaker at our Celebrating Life Luncheon.
