2026 brings many opportunities for you, your family, your Church and your community to stand boldly with Council for Life. Join us to proclaim the beauty and dignity of unborn babies and to protect them and their mothers from the devastating harm of abortion.

We encourage you to participate in the local and national events outlined below throughout January when we remember the U.S. Supreme Court’s tragic Roe v Wade decision in 1973 legalizing abortion in all 50 states and the more than 65 million unborn babies killed since.

And although we celebrate the overturning of Roe with the Dobbs decision in 2022, we grieve that abortion remains the leading cause of death in our world, nation and State of Texas.

Saturday, January 24 | Texas Rally for Life

Join thousands of Texans from across the state on January 24 from 1 to 4 PM at the 2026 Texas Rally for Life in Austin at the Capitol. The Central Texas Coalition for Life organized a diaper drive to help Pregnancy Resource Centers provide for women and families in need. Let’s show the world that Texas is pro-life!

Council for Life is proud to be a member of the Host Committee for the Rally.

Our work to create a Culture of Life continues after Sanctity of Human Life Sunday on January 18. There are many ways YOU can help us!

Encourage your Church to courageously proclaim that:

  • God creates all human beings
  • God knows the circumstances of every child’s conception
  • God is faithfully present with all women who experience unwanted pregnancies
  • God freely gives His redemptive love and healing in Jesus Christ to all who seek Him in their abortion grief

Encourage your Church to become the first call for help and comfort when a Church or community member experiences an unwanted pregnancy or an abortion by providing an email and phone number for Pastoral Counseling and help on the Church website, in the weekly Church Bulletin and throughout the Church building.

Encourage Your Church to Develop a Life Ministry through prayer, teaching and volunteer opportunities with a Council for Life Beneficiary and life-affirming agencies.

We are grateful for your commitment to Council for Life and your compassion for vulnerable preborn babies and their mothers and fathers. Your courage to “speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves” saves lives and will create a Culture for Life.
