Friends,

Last night President Joe Biden delivered the State of the Union address. We braced ourselves for the inevitable flagrant disregard for human life.

President Biden’s speech was an unadulterated call for extreme, radical abortion rights. He left no doubt that his party supports virtually unrestricted abortion up until the moment of birth.

President Biden even went so far as to egregiously breach long-standing protocol on the customary deference and respect given to the U.S. Supreme Court. He directly admonished the Justices, six of whom were in attendance, for reversing Roe v. Wade:

“In its decision to overturn Roe v. Wade the Supreme Court majority wrote, ‘Women are not without electoral or political power.’ No kidding. Clearly those bragging about overturning Roe v. Wade have no clue about the power of women in America…If Americans send me a Congress that supports the right to choose, I promise you I will restore Roe v. Wade as the law of the land again!” — President Joe Biden, State of the Union, March 7, 2024

Vice President Kamala Harris stood behind the President smiling, barely able to contain her excitement and support of “reproductive freedom”. Texan Kate Cox was given a seat of honor by First Lady Jill Biden because, as the President claimed, she “had to leave the state to get the care she needed” to abort her baby girl diagnosed with Trisomy 18. Also seated with Dr. Biden and honored was Latorya Beasley because, as the President asserted, she was denied access to IVF after “the Alabama Supreme Court shut down IVF treatments across the state, unleashed by the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v. Wade.”

The celebration and embrace of a culture of death was highly unsettling. It brought to mind Psalms 83:3. They are full of craftiness and plot against your people, laying plans to slay your precious ones. How ironic that the words above the President read “In God We Trust“.

Last night’s address from the leader of the free world was a powerful and sobering reminder. We as American citizens must work and pray with all our might that the light will overcome the darkness that is engulfing the land. We must bear witness to the sanctity of human life and the horror of abortion and make it count neighbor by neighbor, as well as vote by vote. This slaughter of unborn babies continues to be a holocaust nightmare for our country and the world and the most important moral issue of our time.

Lord, hear our prayers.
