She had also battled opioid addiction and survived several overdoses. Despite being three years sober, Anna felt isolated and unsure about her future.

Imagine a young woman, full of hope and anticipation, discovering she is pregnant. But instead of joy, she experiences anxiety because she does not have access to the essential prenatal care that she knows her baby needs.

This scenario is sadly the reality for thousands of women in North Texas who, despite their best intentions, are unable to provide their unborn children with the nutrients crucial for a healthy start to life.

For a young, homeless woman a pregnancy can be a very difficult experience. With no support, no plan, and no idea where to lay her head or how to provide for the tiny life growing inside her, she may feel that she has no options.
