A story about 2024 Council for Life Beneficiary, Pregnancy Resource Center of Rockwall
In the quiet rooms of Pregnancy Resource Center of Rockwall, where the lives of countless women and their unborn children intersect, one piece of equipment has the power to profoundly change everything.
The ultrasound machine is a cornerstone of PRC of Rockwall’s services, providing the abortion-minded client with the first glimpse of her preborn baby. For many women, this image becomes a turning point, when the humanity of the baby is revealed and the possibility of choosing life becomes tangible.
“Our current ultrasound machine is outdated and does not provide clear pictures. The clarity of the ultrasound image is of critical importance because a client sees, holds and takes home a picture of her preborn baby,” said Laura Grey, Director of Operations at PRC of Rockwall. “Clear images are essential for our staff to provide the best possible care to women facing an unplanning pregnancy who are desperate and devoid of hope.”
Council for Life is proud and honored to award PRC of Rockwall a 2024 grant. The funds will allow this CFL Beneficiary to purchase a state-of-the-art ultrasound machine that will produce clear, distinct images. This project will have powerful, far-reaching impact. According to PRC of Rockwall, 80% of abortion-minded women choose life after seeing an ultrasound. With the new ultrasound machine, the center anticipates that even more women will choose life for their babies in the coming years.
Since opening their doors in 2000, PRC of Rockwall has served thousands of clients who initially sought abortion information but changed their minds after receiving the center’s free services. The new ultrasound machine will determine the viability and gestational age of a client’s preborn baby which is essential information for clients considering abortion. With this new tool, the center’s nurses and client advocates will be better equipped to speak directly to each woman’s unique situation, offering guidance and support grounded in clear, accurate imaging.
In the hands of the center’s dedicated staff, this new machine is not just a piece of equipment. This new ultrasound machine is a lifeline, a beacon of hope that will empower countless women to choose life for their unborn babies.
